Son parcours au C\u00e9gep lui a permis d\u2019animer sa curiosit\u00e9 intellectuelle et sa soif d\u2019apprendre. Ayant cumul\u00e9 les exp\u00e9riences cliniques aupr\u00e8s des enfants \u00e0 besoin particuliers, le choix de s\u2019orienter vers la relation d\u2019aide s\u2019est fait naturellement. Elle a alors compl\u00e9t\u00e9 son baccalaur\u00e9at en psychologie \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al (2018 \u00e0 2021). <\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h1 style=\"font-size:17px\">\u00c0 sa derni\u00e8re ann\u00e9e de BAC, elle a compl\u00e9t\u00e9 sa th\u00e8se Honor sous la supervision du Dr Mottron. Elle s&rsquo;est impliqu\u00e9e en recherche et en clinique, principalement aupr\u00e8s de la population sur le spectre de l\u2019autisme. Elle est \u00e9galement assistante de recherche aupr\u00e8s de diff\u00e9rents projets de Dre Jacques depuis septembre 2019. <\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h1 style=\"font-size:17px\">Ces exp\u00e9riences lui ont permis d\u2019obtenir une bourse du <em>Fond de recherche en inclusion sociale<\/em> \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 2020, supervis\u00e9e par Dre Jacques. Cette exp\u00e9rience sp\u00e9cifique lui a permis de confirmer son d\u00e9sir de partager son temps entre la clinique et la recherche. <\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h1 style=\"font-size:17px\">Elle a finalement \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure de se tailler une place au sein du programme de doctorat recherche et intervention option neuropsychologie clinique \u00e0 l\u2019UdeM. Plus sp\u00e9cifiquement Jade s\u2019int\u00e9resse au calcul de calendrier, soit l\u2019habilet\u00e9 qui permet d\u2019\u00e9noncer les diff\u00e9rentes caract\u00e9ristiques qui correspondent \u00e0 une date donn\u00e9e (Miller, 1999). De fa\u00e7on plus globale, le syndrome du savant se caract\u00e9rise par des habilet\u00e9s exceptionnelles qui contrastent avec un fonctionnement cognitif, adaptatif ou comportemental, en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, plus faible (Miller, 1999). Au moins la moiti\u00e9 des individus savants appartiennent au spectre de l\u2019autisme, sugg\u00e9rant que les deux conditions entretiennent un lien \u00e9troit (O\u2019Connor et Hermelin, 1988). Dans une \u00e9tude portant sur les habilet\u00e9s exceptionnelles des individus avec un syndrome du savant, le calcul de calendrier \u00e9tait l\u2019habilet\u00e9 la plus pr\u00e9valente, soit 62 % de l\u2019\u00e9chantillon (Saloviita et al., 2000). Cette habilet\u00e9 permet aux individus d\u2019\u00e9noncer les diff\u00e9rentes caract\u00e9ristiques qui correspondent \u00e0 une date qui leur est donn\u00e9e (Miller, 1999). Diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9tudes de cas ont permis de constater l\u2019\u00e9tendue de cette habilet\u00e9 et l\u2019homog\u00e9n\u00e9it\u00e9 des calculateurs (Kennedy et Squire, 2007; Miller, 1998; Mottron et al, 2006; Newport, 2006; Rimland, 1978).
